LocatePic 3-Layer Cartographic Triangulation Methodology

LocatePic is engineered around a deterministic, auditable 3-layer spatial verification protocol. Rather than relying on opaque black-box guessing, every image or video keyframe is evaluated through binary header parsing, 5-node optical vector decomposition, and sovereign GIS topology alignment.

Layer 01 · 0ms Client-Side Binary EXIF

Hardware GNSS & Container Provenance

Before invoking optical inference, our browser-resident exifr and QuickTime parser inspects JPEG, HEIC, AVIF, WebP, PNG, TIFF, and MP4/MOV containers. It decodes IFD0 hardware tags, ExifIFD focal length and timestamp registers, GPSIFD (0x8825) DMS rational coordinates, and QuickTime ©xyz atoms with zero external network transmission.

Layer 02 · 5-Node Optical Vector Engine

Terrain, Infrastructure, Flora & Signage

When social compression strips EXIF tags, the image is decomposed into five orthogonal evidence vectors: 1) 30m SRTM DEM horizon curves, 2) Civil engineering specs (viaduct piers, guardrails, insulators), 3) Botanical species and bloom calendars, 4) Epigraphic script and phone prefixes, and 5) Meeus/NOAA solar shadow bearings.

Layer 03 · 240-Country GIS Intersection

Sovereign Matrix & Overpass QL Lock

Candidate regions are intersected against our 240-country driving handedness, ITU calling prefix, and live OpenStreetMap Overpass QL infrastructure graph—producing a weighted WGS-84 coordinate lock, UTM grid reference, and confidence radius.
